TSSH offers state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. TSSH offers a variety of services, such as anesthesia, ear, nose & throat, general surgery, GYN, GYN/oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, radiology and spine care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) in Pain Management utilizes medical, technical skills to provide direct and indirect patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort measures, and maintenance of a safe, clean environment.
- Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
- Function as an observer for any patient who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties, that include, data entry, logistics, and interfacing with other medical disciplines.
- Facilitate efficient functioning of the Pain Management Unit.
