About The Position

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Medical Surgical Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Nice To Haves

Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school
Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy

Responsibilities

Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT I
Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff
Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests
Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties
Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines
Assists patients with range of motion
Draws blood
