About The Position

The Patient Care Tech assists the nursing staff with the provision of basic care to adult patients. This role involves measuring and recording patients' intake, outputs, and temperatures, and advising supervisors of any abnormalities promptly. The position also requires accurate and timely documentation of care delivered in the electronic health record. Additionally, this role will perform the duties of a Unit Secretary as needed, providing clinical and reception support, and managing supply procurement, receipt, and storage for the unit as directed by the Charge Nurse and/or Director. Orders and tests will be entered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
