About The Position
Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Emergency Room (ER) Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Amarillo, TX. BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. Requirements
- Must have completed some high school education.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
- Completion of High School PCT competencies.
- Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
Responsibilities
- Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
- Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the nurse.
- Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
