Requirements

  • Completion of first block of nursing school
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current American Heart Association BLS card
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year acute care experience.
  • Previous experience with a patient care module or personal computer.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team.
  • Perform a range of daily duties, including assisting patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding.
  • Monitor vital signs, document observations, and maintain a therapeutic and organized patient environment.
  • Work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport.
  • Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested also assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
  • Assists in patient/equipment preparation, and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
  • Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas when STAT or as necessary.
  • Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
