Requirements
- Completion of first block of nursing school
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS card
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) year acute care experience.
- Previous experience with a patient care module or personal computer.
Responsibilities
- Deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team.
- Perform a range of daily duties, including assisting patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor vital signs, document observations, and maintain a therapeutic and organized patient environment.
- Work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport.
- Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested also assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
- Assists in patient/equipment preparation, and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
- Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.
- Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas when STAT or as necessary.
- Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer.
