About The Position

This role involves performing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in the Neurology department at St. Agnes - Ascension in Baltimore, MD. The Patient Care Tech will assist with patient entry and exit, help patients with personal care and daily living activities, and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff. Additionally, the role includes maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms and medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.
Aid with entry and exit of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.
