About The Position

Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered. HonorHealth is a nonprofit healthcare system in Arizona, focused on providing excellent care and fostering a culture of warmth and kindness. They operate nine acute-care hospitals and over 200 primary, specialty, and urgent care centers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED - Required
Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year - Required
6 months in acute care experience. - Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
Prior EMT experience required

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Preferred
Clinical Other\EMT - Emergency Medical Tech - Preferred

Responsibilities

Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
