About The Position
Under the direction of nursing personnel, the nursing assistant provides patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Duties include but are not limited to personal hygiene, collection of vital signs, assist nursing and/or physician staff with procedures as needed, unit cleaning and assistance with eating.
Requirements
- Completion of a program for nursing assistance or relevant work experience to test for C.N.A. Certification.
- BLS Certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care hospital experience is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Mississippi is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene for patients.
- Collect vital signs.
- Assist nursing and/or physician staff with procedures as needed.
- Perform unit cleaning.
- Assist patients with eating.
