About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Tech in the Observation Med Surg specialty at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is part-time and involves day shifts. The primary focus is on direct patient care, clinical monitoring, documentation, and environmental management to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting with daily living activities (hygiene, mobility, and positioning) to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Observing patients for physical or emotional changes and immediately reporting updates to the nursing team.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all care activities are properly logged.
Overseeing the cleanliness of patient rooms and the readiness of medical equipment.
