Patient Care Tech Intern- Nelson 3 (Day 36)
About The Position
Shift: 3 12 hour day shifts, 7am-7pm. Nelson 3 is a 23-bed medical unit with 12 telemetry beds. On the unit you will provide care for a variety of complex adult medical patients with acute gastrointestinal, cardiac, renal, hepatic, endocrine, sickle cell, hematological, and respiratory disorders. The team uses a multidisciplinary approach to care, utilizing physicians, case managers, homecare, pharmacy, PT/OT, and social work to provide quality and safe care while supporting the patient and their family. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
- One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
- Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
