Patient Care Tech - ICU, Days
About The Position
Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech for their Medical-Surgical ICU. This is a fast-paced, high acuity 40-bed Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7, Registered nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care technicians. The unit manages complex patients with conditions such as Sepsis, Multi-System Organ failure, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, vasopressor and paralytic titration, complex respiratory failure, post-PCI care, acute stroke care, shock management, neurosurgical patients, and ARDS requiring manual prone therapy.
Requirements
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
- Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
