About The Position

This role supports the patient's journey toward recovery by assisting with personal care and daily activities, ensuring every individual feels dignified and comfortable during their stay. The Patient Care Tech champions patient safety by skillfully aiding in movement and positioning, protecting patients from injury while ensuring they are placed for optimal clinical care. They advocate for patient health by vigilantly observing and reporting changes in physical or emotional conditions to the nursing team, acting as a vital early-warning system for the unit. The role also involves documenting the care experience with precision, ensuring that patient records accurately reflect their progress and status for the entire medical team, and maintaining a healing environment by keeping patient rooms orderly and ensuring medical equipment is clean and ready for immediate use.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
