About The Position
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Patient Care Tech I for their Surgery department responsible for rendering direct and indirect patient care under direction of appropriate licensed personnel. Facilitates care to meet patient's daily living activity needs by providing physical and clerical support, coordinating activities, and communicating effectively. Provides personal self-care and activity programs to patients.
Requirements
- Ability to use computer charting (electronic medical record).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- High school grad or equivalent.
- Training as a nursing assistant.
- For GVCH departments: Current CAN certificate preferred.
- 1 to 2 yrs experience in acute care setting.
