This position may function as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). A Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. A Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of nursing leadership, facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician and other health care provider office and clerical activities. This is a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME NIGHT SHIFT position. The unit specializes in caring for patients who undergo orthopedic surgeries as well as emergent ortho traumas. It also specializes in plastic surgeries such as finger reattachment with leech therapy and care for patients post chemotherapy for breast reconstruction.
