The Patient Care Technician functions as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician may assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator. This is a full-time position with a variable shift needed. The Surgical Inpatient Unit cares for patients who have had surgical procedures and generally require overnight care. We have a wide variety of surgical populations we care for including General Surgery, Colo-Rectal, Urology, ENT, Bariatric, Gynecology/Oncology, Plastics, and Orthopedics. Many of these complex surgeries are performed only at LDS Hospital. We have been nationally recognized in both Orthopedics and Bariatrics.
