The Patient Care Technician functions as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician may assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator. Our Level II Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at American Fork Hospital provides specialized, family-centered care for newborns requiring additional monitoring, feeding support, and respiratory assistance. We are committed to delivering safe, high-quality care while supporting families during a critical and often emotional time. Our NICU is a highly collaborative environment where Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are valued members of the care team. This role is dedicated solely to supporting NICU operations and patient care within the unit—allowing for deeper integration into the NICU team and workflow.
