About The Position
Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech for their 3 South Cardiac/Pulmonary Unit. This 32-bed unit cares for adult patients with various medical diseases and disorders, including cardiac and pulmonary conditions. The unit is supported by Hospitalists/APPs 24/7, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratios are 1:5/1:6. The unit manages drips (Bumex, Heparin, Lasix), telemetry monitoring, high-flow oxygen, respiratory disorders, manual proning, and peritoneal dialysis. The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.
Requirements
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
- Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred
