Mosaic Health is a national care delivery platform focused on expanding access to comprehensive primary care for consumers with coverage across Commercial, Individual Exchange, Medicare, and Medicaid health plans. This role is responsible for greeting, registering, and checking in patients, ensuring all demographic, insurance, consent, and contact information is accurate and current in the EHR. The Patient Care Specialist II also collects and processes copayments, verifies insurance eligibility, obtains required authorizations, and provides clear explanations of processes and expectations to patients. They will answer and route phone calls, schedule appointments, and perform various clerical and administrative tasks. This position requires maintaining full HIPAA and privacy compliance, identifying and reporting potential breaches, and preparing medical documentation. The role involves providing excellent customer service, coordinating scheduling, auditing patient charts, and participating in training and departmental initiatives. The Patient Care Specialist II supports the Practice Manager and care team with administrative tasks and performs other related duties as assigned.
