About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Representative (PCR) to join our team at the Retina Health Center in Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• associate degree preferred
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-out patients promptly and courteously.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments accurately.
• Verify patient insurance information and eligibility.
• Collect and process patient co-pays and payments.
• Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate patient flow.
• Assist with patient registration and intake paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
