About The Position

The Patient Care Manager oversees the daily operations of a multidisciplinary team in three (3) or more assigned clinical departments to provide quality, cost-effective care. They ensure standards of quality and service are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities, resolve work-related issues, and determine fiscal requirements by preparing an annual budget for the department(s). This role monitors, verifies, and reconciles expenditures and revenues, prepares financial performas as needed, and initiates actions for hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures. The Patient Care Manager also ensures staff members are adequately trained and competent, implements Carle Experience initiatives for patient satisfaction and employee engagement, performs ongoing quality audits, manages provider schedules, and ensures appropriate patient intervals and contact hours. They also team with the branch dyad partner to ensure effective branch operations.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
  • Bachelor's Degree: Related
  • Healthcare - 5 years
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic, clinical, programmatic and quality outcomes.
  • Strong presentation skills with various audiences; physicians/providers, hospital administrators, nurses, community members, interdepartmental leaders, etc.
  • Strong clinical background and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to problem solve in a team environment and lead change.
  • Demonstrates independence, responsibility, accountability and good judgment.
  • Demonstration of Division Core Principles: Partnership, Access, Service Expertise and Value.

Responsibilities

  • Manages operations of department

  • Performs on-going quality audits related to initiatives of the Carle organization
  • Manages the provider schedules of the branch
  • Ensures appropriate patient intervals and contact hours
  • Teams with branch dyad partner ensuring effective branch operations
