This modern dental office combines the historic charm of its building with advanced dental technology, such as intraoral cameras, panoramic and digital x-rays. The welcoming team at Alderney Dental Group is looking for a passionate and caring Dental Administrator to join their busy and established family-oriented practice located in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth. The office is conveniently situated on a major bus route and across the street from the ferry terminal, making it easy to locate and close to many great restaurants. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Dental Administration experience is required
  • Experience with dental software programs is required

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
  • Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps
  • Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
  • Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts
  • Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments
  • Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner
