About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our supportive and fast-paced dental practice in St. Paul, MN. This role plays a critical part in the daily success of our clinic and serves as the first impression for our patients. Professionalism, friendliness, and strong organizational skills are essential. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided. Previous dental office experience is highly preferred but not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail when handling patient information and financial transactions
Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office (dental software experience a plus; training provided)
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented team member

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service, front desk, or administrative experience preferred
Dental office experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Answer phones promptly and professionally and direct patient inquiries appropriately
Schedule appointments for doctors, dental therapists, and hygienists to ensure efficient provider schedules
Verify and update patient billing and insurance information with accuracy and attention to detail
Check in patients upon arrival while maintaining privacy, efficiency, and a welcoming environment
Update patient forms and scan documentation into patient charts
Coordinate interpreter services as needed to support patient care
Process incoming and outgoing requests including referrals, record transfers, prescription requests, head start forms, and post-operative calls
Process patient payments and ensure accurate posting to provider accounts
Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area
