Medical office, ophthalmology, optometry, or patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients
Answer and manage multiple phone lines efficiently
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Assist patients with questions and concerns
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Have a working knowledge of medical and vision insurance and billing processes
Collect patient payments and provide accurate information regarding balances and services
Communicate with patients through phone, text, and other communication platforms
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation
Navigate multiple software systems for scheduling, texting, insurance verification, and patient communication
Work closely with doctors and other team members to ensure a smooth patient flow
Multitask and prioritize responsibilities while maintaining a high level of customer service
