The Patient Care Coordinator- Back Office will support the unit in daily clinical operations and administrative support. This role will work with the staff nurses, providers, and team patient care coordinator in patient care coordination and outside scan facilitation. This is a full time hybrid position. Onsite visits will be onsite at our South Lake Union location.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient care setting preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working in a dynamic healthcare environment, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Information Software (EPIC)

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for triaging faxes for their disease group
  • Triage records based on urgency and communicate to the clinical team as appropriate or based on need.
  • Follow-up with facility on a regular basis to ensure that records are received in time prior to any relevant clinical visits.
  • Manage BOTC shared inbox
  • Assists with the financial clearance process as necessary
  • Work closely with providers, nurses, and team PCCs to provide safe, reliable, and efficient patient care
  • May maintain contact sheets for specific disease group
  • Assist with projects, programs, or systems to improve the overall operation of department
  • Assist with onsite mail duties in a rotation; Upload urgent images coordinate with 2nd floor and film room for upload of non-urgent
