About The Position

VCA Animal Specialty Group is looking for an exceptional Patient Care Assisant that can help the doctors and technicians with various tasks, including restraining for IVC placement, x-rays, blood/urine samples, exams, procedure and surgery prep, assisting with emergency triages, etc. Other responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting the treatment floor, procedure rooms, and wards, stocking medical supplies, cleaning and sterilizing surgical packs and instruments, maintaining laundry, feeding and walking patients, processing in-house lab samples, and much more.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in animal restraint
• Work Saturday and/or Sunday
• Work overnights
• Communicate respectfully and compassionately
• Receive and carry out instructions accurately and efficiently with minimal instruction
• Multi-tasking in a very busy environment
• Able to receive feedback politely and respectfully
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, including remaining busy during downtime
