Requirements
- Hourly rate based on years of nursing experience/education
Responsibilities
- Provides high quality, direct patient care to an assigned group of patients.
- Activities of daily living.
- Utilization of safe patient handling equipment.
- Measure and document intake and output.
- Foley removal.
- External urinary catheter management.
- Telemetry monitor set up.
- Blood glucose monitoring.
- Oxygen set up and tasks delegated per scope of practice and skill set.
- May provide clerical support to the care team including acting as a liaison facilitating communication with or between other care providers and visitors directly or via telephone.
- Works collaboratively with other care team members including the patient and family.
- Participates collaboratively with RN to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Has access to confidential patient information.
- Must communicate with all team members regarding care provided by them to the assigned patient group.
- Carries out daily activities under the direct supervision of a Patient Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse, RN or Assistant Nurse Manager and indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director.
