Position Highlights Position: Patient Care Associate (PCA) Salary: Based on years of experience. Work Life Balance: Full-Time, 90% FTE | Night Shift (6:00pm – 6:30pm) - 3 shifts/week. Responsibilities

  • Provides high quality, direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, while providing an atmosphere that supports our mission to be our regions’ most trusted partner in healthcare.
  • Activities of daily living, measure and document intake and output, foley removal, telemetry monitor set up & telemetry monitoring, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, oxygen set up, etc.
  • May provide clerical support to the care team including typing, word processing, transcribing physician orders, and acting as a liaison facilitating communication with or between other care providers and visitors directly or via telephone.
  • Works collaboratively with other care team members including the patient and family, and participates collaboratively with RN to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Has access to confidential patient information.
  • Communicates with all team members regarding care provided by them to the assigned patient group.
  • Carries out daily activities under the direct supervision of a Patient Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse, RN or Assistant Nurse Manager and indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director.
