About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Associate in the Adult Psychiatry Unit at Ascension St. Francis Hospital. The position is full-time and works nights. The associate will foster patient independence by providing compassionate assistance with daily living activities, ensuring every individual maintains their dignity and comfort. They will champion patient safety by observing and reporting vital changes in physical or emotional status, serving as a critical link between the patient and the nursing leadership. The role also involves supporting clinical excellence by assisting with physician-ordered treatments under RN supervision, directly contributing to the patient’s recovery and care plan. Additionally, the associate will create a healing environment by maintaining organized, serene patient spaces that promote wellness and reduce stress for both families and providers.

Requirements

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Previous CNA experience in a hospital setting preferred.
