Provides direct patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role involves providing basic patient care, recording vital signs, assisting with personal care and hygiene, and aiding with patient mobility. The PCA also acts as a liaison between the patient and nurse, reporting changes or concerns, and delivers high-level customer service to all patients, families, visitors, and employees. Accurate and timely documentation is essential, along with professional verbal and written communication skills.
