About The Position

The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care. This role involves caring for critically ill patients recovering from acute MI, Cardiogenic shock, CHF, cardiac arrest, and various percutaneous interventions, as well as cardiac patients suffering from Heart attack, heart failure, arrythmias, and various percutaneous interventions, in a progressive care setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Recent experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
