St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for our 4SE TCU Cardiac/Telemetry Step Down Unit located within the Florence Hospital. This is a part-time position with 24 hours per week, working the 7A-7P shift. The PCA is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clerical functions and duties of a designated unit/program. They will utilize customer service skills when greeting patients/visitors and answering the telephone. The PCA demonstrates the ability to complete worklist tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse-generated tasks under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel. They provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN, assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing for personal care, comfort, and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
