Patient Care Assistant (PCA)- PRN
About The Position
This position is PRN, which means it is on an as-needed basis. There is no set schedule or hours for this position. The role requires compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly, understanding that the facility is considered the resident's home. The ideal candidate must be honest, ethical, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality, and uphold the rights and privacy of others. Successful completion of training as required or accepted by State regulations is necessary. The position also requires the ability to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Successfully complete training as required or accepted by State regulations
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
- Be familiar with the Adult Care Home Resident's bill of Rights
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
