About The Position

HSHS is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) Unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with various acuities. The Medical Surgical Unit is a department focused on nursing support. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts and weekend rotations. The facility is St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL. Compensation will align with experience.

Requirements

1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above.
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
