About The Position
HSHS St Nicholas Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) Unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with various acuities. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts (11p-7a) and requires working every other weekend. The role is within the Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Department and falls under Nursing Support. The facility is St. Nicholas Hospital located in Sheboygan, WI.
Requirements
- 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification is not required for those with greater than one year experience.
