About The Position

HSHS St Nicholas Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical/Surgical (Med Surg) Unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with various acuities. This role is part of the Nursing Support core function within the Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Department. The position is part-time, requiring 24 hours per week, with evening shifts (3p-11p) and every other weekend. The facility is St. Nicholas Hospital, located in Sheboygan, WI.

Requirements

• 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
