It's designed for individuals starting their careers, exploring healthcare, or seeking a new direction, providing hands-on experience, paid employment, and support to earn a CNA credential. As an unlicensed assistive personnel role, the Patient Care Assistant supports nursing staff in delivering safe, timely, and patient-centered care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, collecting basic clinical data, and performing delegated tasks. The role also involves documenting care in the electronic medical record and contributing to efficient unit operations and a positive patient experience.
