About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The role is in the Behavioral Health department at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a 131-bed community hospital and member of Prime Healthcare.

Requirements

• State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification is required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire is preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire is preferred.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.
