About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) works in the hospital Float Department and assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment. The PCA works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This is a full-time day-shift position with three 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and rotating holidays and weekends. The position is at Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Compensation is estimated at $18.00 to $26.68, including estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. Requirements

Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
Current EKG certification upon hire.
At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
