About The Position
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. Hours: This part-time position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) and the hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association
- One year of pediatric experience
Responsibilities
- Assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
- Consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
- Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
