About The Position

Medical Office seeking FT Patient Care Assistant for 11am-7pm shift, M-F. No weekends or holidays. MUST be bilingual Spanish. We are searching for a reliable Patient Care Assistant to perform various clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. Our Patient Care Assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to assist in clinical duties, collect test samples, maintain patient records, and assist in patient care.

Requirements

  • Bilingual Spanish
  • 2+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
  • Customer service skills: ability to provide customer support in a prompt, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Self-starter and team player: ability to work both independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Listening and communication skills: ability to actively listen to customers or guests to deduce what their real needs are. Possess great oral communication skills to effectively communicate customers’ interest needs and requests to management and appropriate units, as well as written communication skills for filing and documentation.
  • Professionalism: enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly; with a professional and welcoming presentation, and a positive attitude.
  • Interpersonal skills: strong interpersonal skills to relate easily with people of various background and personalities. Ability to establish relationships and build rapport with employees, customers, and guests.
  • Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office tools and possess strong keyboarding skills.
  • Organizational skills: Well-organized, detail-oriented, and multi-tasking, with the ability to effectively prioritize assignments. Ability to adapt to change easily.
  • Technical skills: basic skills for operating and maintaining office machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the nurse and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
  • Clean beds and surrounding clinical areas.
  • Assist patients in changing, using the restroom, prepping patients for procedures.
  • Aid clinical staff in maintaining patient records.
  • Collect test samples.
  • Maintain patient records.
  • Assist in patient care.
