About The Position

Avita Health System is proud to serve the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. This position assists nursing staff in providing direct patient care to multiple patients at a time on a designated nursing unit.

Requirements

Completion of Future Nurses of Avita’s Education Program. Must provide Certificate of Completion upon hire.
Current Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Observation ONLY with job shadowing of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Patient Care Assistant (PCA).
Assists with direct and indirect patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Patient Care Assistant (PCA). Cannot be left unattended with patients.
Assists Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) with patients’ activities of daily living (ADLs).
Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for the assigned group of patients.
Assists Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) with other duties as assigned.
