About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This role offers a great opportunity to work and gain exposure on multiple floors within the Float Pool department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
