About The Position

Under direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Assistant is responsible for performing activities of daily living for patients and generally assist with the unit activities that support patient care in the Adult Respiratory Unit at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The Patient Care Assistant facilitates a safe, clean working environment and contributes to the health and safety of patients.

Requirements

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification
• Certified Nursing Assistants with 3 years of experience in an acute care facility or 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or sub-acute setting
• Nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program who have completed the first semester of the nursing program

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting
• Basic computer knowledge
