About The Position

Provides or assists with basic direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patients’ clinical and service needs and may include vital signs, weights, personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers and transport, point-of-care testing, dressing changes, and applying external monitoring devices. The position may also require other major or minor duties not listed, and specific functions may change from time to time.

Requirements

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Kentucky preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, providers, and staff.
• Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility when responding to varying and unpredictable situations.
• Respond proactively to the clinical and service needs of patients and families.
• Provide or assist with basic direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse, including tasks such as taking vital signs and weights, assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, transferring or transporting patients, point-of-care testing, dressing changes, and applying external monitoring devices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and properly use equipment necessary to perform job duties.
