This is a part-time, regular position with a weekly hour commitment of 12 hours, working a night shift. The role involves providing approved patient care and assisting in the implementation of interventions under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, supervising developmentally appropriate activities, and offering assistance to co-workers. The position also requires the use of crisis control techniques for de-escalation and assisting with patient transport and 1 on 1 observation as needed. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating Cincinnati Children's CARES behaviors in all interactions, reporting patient status changes, and completing timely documentation. Ensuring a safe and efficient environment, complying with infection control policies, and adhering to safety procedures are also crucial. The role involves responding to communication systems and patient alarms with urgency, answering the telephone according to etiquette, assembling charts, ordering supplies, and potentially assisting in the orientation of new employees.
