About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Assistant carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This role is similar to a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience is beneficial.
- Experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care.
- Supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Carries out delegated skills within the scope of unlicensed nursing personnel.
