Patient Care Aide- Highlands Emergency Department - FT - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Patient Care Aide is responsible for assisting in the care of patients under the direction of an RN and LPN. This role involves assisting with total patient care and activities of daily living, proper utilization of PPE, infection control practices, and safe lifting techniques. The Patient Care Aide must communicate effectively with the RN or LPN regarding all aspects of patient care. Requirements
- Ability to read and write
- Exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care
- Oral communication skills
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant
- Experience preferably in the area of application
Responsibilities
- Assist with total patient care and assists with activities of daily living.
- Properly utilize PPE, infection control practices, and proper lifting techniques with proper body mechanics without causing injury to patient, self, or others.
- Communicates with the RN or LPN on all aspects of patient care.
