About The Position

In the Medical Oncology unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, the PCA serves as a Nursing Assistant. This part-time position involves 24 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., requiring rotating weekends and holidays. Requirements

  • High School or equivalency certificate is required.
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of Nursing Assistant experience in an Acute In-Patient setting is preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring and recording measurements in patients’ charts
  • Provide Ambulatory Support to patients, assisting with walking, showers, and other prescribed therapies.
