About The Position
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to treatment. Review and validate insurance cards and patient demographic information. Confirm insurance policies are active and effective for dates of service. Research and resolve insurance eligibility discrepancies.
Requirements
- 3+ year of experience in healthcare insurance verification, benefits investigation, prior authorization, patient access, or revenue cycle operations.
- Strong understanding of eligibility verification and authorization processes.
- Experience working in a healthcare, medical office, oncology, specialty pharmacy, or hospital environment preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
