As a Patient Benefits Representative, you will educate patients on their insurance coverage and benefits, as well as any financial assistance programs that are available to them.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Live in the Knoxville area or are in the process of relocating.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual
Previous oncology/hematology experience

Responsibilities

Educate patients on their insurance coverage and benefits, as well as any financial assistance programs that are available to them.
Advocate for patients who really need you during a tough time in their lives.
Walk a patient through the navigation process.
Stay on the same page with your Nurse Navigator regarding the patient’s specific needs.
Provide accurate information to our patients by working seamlessly with other areas of the practice.
Walk patients through their insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
Provide excellent customer service by rolling out the red carpet to meet their needs through communicating respectfully and thoroughly listening to all shared details.
Maintain relationships with current foundations as well as seek out any other foundations in order to provide assistance for our patients.
Help patients complete financial forms and documentation and forward the information to the correct department.
Jump in and help out with any additional tasks.
